DESCRIPTION:Desert Streams is excited to be a part of this event- everyone is invited! Stop by and see us  \nMENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEKEND\nTransformation Church- Indian Land SC\nMay 6-7\, 2017 \nFor far too long\, mental illness has been misunderstood\, ignored\, or not fully supported by the Church. We believe the Church should be a resource and support for individuals and families dealing with this issue that affects so many people. \nCurrent estimates indicate that 1 in 4 people are affected by mental illness. There are false conceptions that if you suffer from mental illness you must pray harder or “be a better Christian.” This stigma must be erased so people are empowered to get the help they need. \nIn light of this need\, Transformation Church is preparing for our 3rd Annual Mental Health Awareness Event. This initiative exists so the Church may become a leading resource in the community for mental health awareness and to erase the stigma. \nSATURDAY • MAY 6\nJoin us for a resource fair\, breakout sessions\, and guest speaker David Mandani.\n9am – 2pm \nSUNDAY • MAY 7\nSheila Walsh will be the guest speaker for all three of our morning services.\n8:15\, 10 & 11:45a
