Wrong way sign

I am often amused at the things that most people overlook that inspire me to write or go on a “that will preach!!” tangent. While driving down a major highway a few months ago, I saw this sign in the median that looked like it had been mowed over by a monster truck. Now, that isn’t that weird, except that the sign was a “wrong way” sign…

Is it just me or does it feel like this world has lost their ever-loving mind?? I have heard the phrase that “truth is stranger than fiction” and let me tell you, that line would preach right now. As a Christian woman, I am understanding more about the “narrow road” that Matthew 7:13-14 teaches us about. It says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. ”

The world apart from Christ is telling us to accept what the word of God says we cannot. We are told to condone what is wrong and be “open minded” enough to embrace lies. The world is plowing down the WRONG WAY signs in God’s word while others are using the masquerade of “love” to fuel the truck. 1 John 3:18 tells us, “Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” Love and truth. The two MUST exist together.

I believe it is one of the most horrific acts of pride when we, as human beings, try to determine what is right or wrong. God is the standard for love and truth.  Truth without love can destroy people and love without truth is not real love at all. I do not get to determine or decide what is right or wrong. God does and His word is definitive and addresses every single issue we face today. As I watch people, churches, and Christians fall prey to political correctness instead of the living, breathing word of God, I am grieved. I am grieved that we have decided that we know better than our Creator. I am devastated that we are allowing the enemy to twist lies into “love and tolerance” as people die and face an eternal and very real hell.

I would like to also point out that Christians are not perfect people. We should be repentant people that recognize the plank in our own eye. We should talk about the redemptive power of Christ and that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” We should preach the truth about sin, the power of Christ’s love, the gift of repentance and the hope and promise of salvation.

Today is the day to study the word of God, pray for personal conviction from the Holy Spirit, and seek the Holy God of Israel to bring a great awakening to our country. He is the only one that can restore our nation, heal our land, and get us back on the path to truth and love.

This is so very true. Thank you. i fail and come short everyday but God has given me so much. I try to see the plank and not judge. But it is so sickening to listen to what is politically correct and know in your heart it is just pure wrong. I am thankful I grew up in a traditional home where you went to church and learned the base values of who God is during my childhood and those values carried on and grew as I became an adult. They continue to grow and He continues to show me everyday different things I could change. People of this world, need morals; the ones instilled by Our Father. More and more there are none they chose to live as if there is no bible of truth and there is no Living God. I pray and pray that I can find my path with God…you wonder what path they pray to follow…
