MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEKEND

May 6-7, 2017
For far too long, mental illness has been misunderstood, ignored, or not fully supported by the Church. We believe the Church should be a resource and support for individuals and families dealing with this issue that affects so many people.
Current estimates indicate that 1 in 4 people are affected by mental illness. There are false conceptions that if you suffer from mental illness you must pray harder or “be a better Christian.” This stigma must be erased so people are empowered to get the help they need.
In light of this need, Transformation Church is preparing for our 3rd Annual Mental Health Awareness Event. This initiative exists so the Church may become a leading resource in the community for mental health awareness and to erase the stigma.

Sheila Walsh will be the guest speaker for all three of our morning services.
